19 of Medvedev's 21 titles have been earned on hard surfaces
A revitalized Medvedev claimed his first trophy for over two years with victory over opponent Moutet in the tournament final.
Medvedev, a former number one, has endured a difficult year, achieving just a single victory at the Grand Slams and experiencing a difficult moment at the New York tournament.
Medvedev's unpredictability on the ATP Tour - and struggles with his service game in specific - resulted in him dropping out of the top ten and eventually splitting with former coach Gilles Cervara.
Presently working with his coach and Goetzke, the tennis star has steadily improved in the past month - climaxing in a closely contested 7-5 4-6 6-3 win over challenger Moutet.
It is his first championship since the Italian tournament and initial on a hardcourt after March of the previous year.
Success also signifies he has achieved twenty-one titles at 21 different competitions.
"For the first time I have attended a competition with my children at once, so to secure a title is particularly special," stated tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.
"This title is in tribute of my child Victoria, because the first title I won when my older daughter my daughter was born was for her."
The athlete, the past champion, had lost his previous six finals, featuring in that event previously this season.
His defensive play style and recurring reactions on the tennis court had caused observers to wonder if his skill to compete at the elite level was concluded.
Yet the 29-year-old has altered his approach in the past month, striving to come to the net and perform positively, backed up by an improved serving game.
He recovered from a break down in the first set against the difficult Moutet, taking four of the final five exchanges to gain the advantage.
The pair traded breaks in the second set before the Frenchman, attempting for his initial professional victory, took control to create a third set.
The opponent saved 4 initial chances in a competitive deciding set before Medvedev secured a break to that score to secure the win.
Appropriately, he earned the title with a rally at the net area, with Moutet incapable to manage a volley after over two and a half hours.
